Executive Press Release

THOMAS LINDLEY PITTMAN, MS, PA-C, DFAAPA - ORTHOPEDIC SPINE PA

Naperville, IL— Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, Thomas Lindley Pittman is acknowledged as a Pinnacle Life Member for his contributions to the field of Spinal Orthopedics and Spinal Neurosurgery.

Mr. Pittman pursued higher education at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He then attended Rosalind Franklin University, North Chicago, where he received a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

An expert in cervical myelopathy, Mr. Pittman currently works at Hinsdale Orthopaedics, a comprehensive orthopedic group that specializes in many orthopedic surgical-subspecialties. He explained that myelopathy is a spinal nervous system disorder that can permanently affect the spinal cord causing loss of sensations, loss of extremity and bodily functions, and pain. He has 25 years of experience in neurological and orthopedic spinal surgery.

Dedicated to providing the latest innovations in his field, Mr. Pittman is a Distinguished Fellow with AAPA, the national organization that advocates for all PAs and provides tools to improve PA practice and patient care. When considering his successful career, Mr. Pittman attributes applying his philosophy to each patient, which is “treat the patient as you wish to be treated.” He is also affiliated with IAPA and NASS. He has served in both the U.S. Naval Submarine Force and U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Pittman would like to recognize his mentors, Dr. Michael Caron; Dr. Mark Lorenz; and Dr. Cary Templin and thank them for their guidance. He also thanks his wife, Laura, and their children for their love and support. Looking toward the future, Mr. Pittman plans to continue taking care of his patients and growing his orthopedic spine practice in Naperville Illinois. Aside from his professional pursuits, he enjoys golfing, cooking, and traveling.
