
Eau Claire, WI—Tamara Insteness is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Medicine.
Gathering over twenty five years of experience in the
Geriatric field, Tamara Insteness is revered for her outstanding contributions
to the medical field. Insteness has served in her current capacity for the past
two and a half years. Throughout her career, Insteness has attained expertise
within the areas of geriatric care and palliative care. In her current
capacity, Insteness serves as the Advanced Geriatric Care Coordinator at
Westfield’s Hospital and Clinic. Attributing her success to her “being a perfectionist
and an overachiever,” Insteness states “You have to be patient and
compassionate. Never stop learning. If you stop learning, you stop living.”
Striving to live the mission and values every day, Insteness believes it is
through the development of relationships built on empathy, respect, and trust
that we get the best results in improvement of health. Insteness’ job duties include oversight of
and responsibility for over 100 residents who reside in the facility.
While pursuing her educational endeavors, Insteness attained her Associate’s
degree in Nursing from W.I.T.C. Thereafter, Insteness went on to complete her
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Viterbo University in 2010, and then her
Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of North Dakota in 2014.
To further advance her professional career, Insteness is an esteemed member of several elite organizations
including the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, The Society for
Post-Acute and Long Term Care Medicine, and American Geriatric Society.
In recognition of her professional accolades, Insteness was the recipient
Academic Excellence by the International Scholars Honor Society, Inducted in to
the Alpha Theta Tau International Honor Society, and named a World Wide leader
in Health Care.
In looking to the future, Insteness wants to become a published author, become
certified in wound care, and she wants to work to change the legislation in
Wisconsin regarding Nurse Practitioners, so that they can be allowed work the
full scope of their practice.
When not working, Insteness enjoys baking, sewing and gardening.
