New York, N.Y. - Rob Mango is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Art field.
Mango's professional title is Artist - Sculptor and Painter - at Rob Mango Studio, located in TriBeCa, N.Y., where he specializes in painting, sculpting and other various handmade artwork. He is also the author of his memoir, '100 Paintings: An Artist's Life in New York City.'
For more than 40 years, Mango has worked as an internationally exhibited painter and sculptor. He also utilizes his interactive website, robmango.com, to showcase even more of his work. Mango has mastered several art mediums and styles, and his recent works concentrate on the female and male figures, combining Picasso-like cubism with European expressionism.
Over the course of his career, Mango's work has been extensively collected in both the private and corporate spheres, and has been featured in the likes of The New York Times, The Huffington Post, Art in America, Art News and dart International. He has also had work showcased in numerous solo expeditions in New York, Chicago, Taos, Zurich, Prague, Paris, St. Paul-de-Venice and Tuscany.
In his book, Mango alludes to a number of his life experiences as an artist living in New York City. "From the birth of TriBeCa to the horrors of 9/11 and its aftermath, Mango reveals the details as only such a singular artist can," according to his website. "Along the way, he rubs shoulders with Wall Street titans, the art world's up-and-comers, punk rockers and such celebrated downtowners as Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, Andy Warhol, Larry Rivers and Bob Dylan."
In addition to his artwork and his writing, Mango will star in a Spring 2017 comprehensive film documentary titled "Amiss in the Abyss," by French filmmaker Guillaume La Blanc.
Mango earned his Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Illinois.
He then went on to complete a Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture, also from the University of Illinois.
