An experienced trial lawyer of more than 41 years, Mr. Samakow handles “Burn Injury” and Wrongful Death cases. His private law practice, founded in 1980, is headquartered in Tysons Corner, VA, with satellite locations in Wheaton, MD, Manassas, VA, Frederick, MD, and Baltimore, MD.

 

Mr. Samakow is licensed to practice law in Virginia and Maryland, where he has successfully taken hundreds of cases to court for his clients. His achievements have made him eligible for admission into the Trial Lawyers of America’s Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a national organization open to attorneys who have achieved verdicts or settlements of at least $1 million or more.

 

Mr. Samakow obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1977 from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. He then earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 1980 from the Western New England College of Law in Springfield, MA. He holds memberships in the Virginia State Bar, the Maryland State Bar, the American Association for Justice, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Bar Associations for Fairfax County, Virginia, and Montgomery County, Maryland. He is also a founding member of the Nursing Home Litigation Section of the Maryland Association for Justice.

 

In addition to having served as a legal columnist and analyst for both newspaper and radio media outlets, Mr. Samakow has also authored numerous books and articles related to legal issues. He is a frequent lecturer and consistently donates his time helping low-income families in the community, schools, and minority groups.

 

A life-long Washington, D.C. resident, Mr. Samakow is married with two daughters. He is a rated tennis player and former professional photographer. Additionally, he is a frequent sponsor of youth soccer, baseball, football teams, and numerous community events.
