Dr. Ponquinette pursued higher education at Hampton University in 2000 where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2000. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania receiving a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree and then completed a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree in 2016 at the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his residency at the Montefiore Medical Center in 2008.

 

Specializing in dental surgery; extractions; implants; and bone grafting procedures, Dr. Ponquinette is currently a surgeon at the Atlantic Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. He served as an oral surgeon with Eastern Dental of New Jersey from 2009 to 2014 and focuses on dentoalveolar surgery; regeneration of hard tissues; surgical extraction; and implant placement.

Board certified in 2010, Dr. Ponquinette is affiliated with the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a member of the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology; the New Jersey Board of Anesthesia; the American Dental Association; and the New Jersey Dental Association. He considers as highlights of his career to be his attention to maintaining a high level of performance in his current job and improving the lives of his patients.

Considering his success in the field, the doctor attributes his dedication to not fearing change and continuing to evolve as a practitioner. Dr. Poinquinette hopes to enhance his skills; manage others perioperatively; and venture into biologic dentistry. Aside from his professional pursuits, Dr. Ponquinette enjoys playing fo otball, playing basketball and spending time with his family.
