Ms. Kohn is the owner of Flying Suitcase LLC and a seasoned Virtuoso Travel Advisor based in Michigan. With 56 years in the travel and hospitality industry, she is recognized for delivering thoughtfully curated travel experiences that translate destination ideas into seamless, meaningful journeys. As a member of The Inner Circle, she is acknowledged as a Pinnacle Professional Member Inner Circle of Excellence.

Serving clients planning international travel, Ms. Kohn focuses on travelers who know where they want to go but seek expert guidance on what to see and how to structure their time. Her specialties include international travel planning, luxury cruise arrangements, and personalized itinerary design, all informed by deep destination knowledge and a client-centered approach.

Ms. Kohn originally founded Flying Suitcase in 1976, building an incorporated agency that managed 9–10 employees and handled corporate travel accounts, including first-class arrangements for West Coast business travel. Her leadership during this period established a reputation for precision, service, and accountability in complex travel management.

Following industry-wide changes in airline commission structures in the late 1990s, Ms. Kohn closed the agency and transitioned to AAA, where she worked for approximately a decade before retiring. Her passion for travel ultimately brought her back to the field through a host agency model with Montecito Village Travel under the Virtuoso network, and she now operates Flying Suitcase from her home as a Virtuoso Travel Advisor.

With more than 40 cruises and extensive travel across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas, Ms. Kohn draws on firsthand experience to create itineraries that balance must-see highlights with insider access and practical logistics. Based in Michigan, she serves clients seeking international travel arrangements that reflect their interests and goals.

Ms. Kohn earned a bachelor’s degree in French, English and Social Studies from Heidelberg University. She holds the CTC (Certified Travel Counselor), CLS, and DS credentials and is a life member of The Travel Institute. Her professional affiliations also include ASTA, the American Society of Travel Advisors, CLIA, Cruise Lines International Association, IATAN, International Airlines Travel Agent Network, the Virtuoso network, and Montecito Village Travel.
