Julie is the Owner of A Beautiful Birth Doula & Lamaze Services and manager of Bon Secours Richmond’s Love and Learn Program.

A Certified Birth Doula through DONA International, Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, and Certified Happiest Baby on the Block Educator, Julie has been in the industry for ten years and started her own business in 2007 where she has been successful ever since. Dedicating to provide the utmost comfort and support to her clients, Julie strives to assist expecting parents with everything they need to learn to have a successful labor, delivery and postpartum processes.

Inducted into the Woman of The Year Circle by the National Association of Professional Women in 2015, Julie enjoys artwork, dance and spending time with family in her free time. Julie is involved in Girl and Boy Scouts with her family and she is also very involved in her church.

To keep up with the latest in the industry, Julie maintains affiliation with Lamaze International, DONA International, Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association, and the Happiest Baby on the Block. 

Throughout the course of her education and training, Julie attained her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Health Promotion from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
