Los Angeles, CA -
Jarnette Brownlee is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Name in Certified Massage
Therapy for her excellent work at her practice, Healing is What I’m Giving.
Jarnette (pronounced Jar-nay) Brownlee is a
Certified Massage Therapist at her company, Healing is What I’m Giving.
Ms. Brownlee helps clients in the Los Angeles
and Torrance, CA, areas relax with deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, sports
massage, and prenatal massage. She works with individuals, couples, or large
groups. Most clients choose to have their massages in their homes, where they
can have the maximum comfort and relaxation. Ms. Brownlee talks with her
clients to address their areas of pain or discomfort, and sometimes adds
special sugar scrubs, hot towels, or delicious aromatherapy scents to enhance
the massage experience. Ms. Brownlee likes to help patients with areas of pain
using heat, cold, or hypervolt massage on their joints, limbs, or back. She
believes that self-care is for everyone, and that caring for yourself before
others is paramount to finding health and wellness.
Ms. Brownlee says about
her work, “I like to help people. I don’t like to see anyone in pain. If I can
help them to be the best version of themself - physically, emotionally, and
mentally - in just a few hours, then I’ve accomplished something special.” She
offers 30, 60, or 90-minute sessions, as well as multi-session packages.
Growing up, her father
had diabetes, and her mother had arthritis. After seeing the suffering that
their ailments caused, Ms. Brownlee understood the importance of pain
management and wellness, and wanted to share her talents with others. She
decided to pursue Massage Therapy, and began by obtaining a Bachelor of Science
degree in Kinesiology from California State University Northridge in 2012. She
then earned a Specialty Certification to be qualified as a Physical Therapy
Aide and Massage Therapist from the Southern California Health Institute in
2013. As a lifelong learner, Ms. Brownlee continues to pursue education on the
topics of therapeutic modalities and holistic healing.
Ms. Brownlee worked in
multiple internships and externships from 2011-2014. She gained experience at a
Wellness and Faculty Program working with patients with mobility issues. She
worked as a Physical Therapist Extern at Marina Physical Therapy, where she
assisted with Cryotherapy, Thermology, and Electrical Stimulation.
In 2014, Ms. Brownlee
started working at Morales Holistic Health Center as a Massage Therapist and
Physical Therapy Aide. She took a new position as a Massage Therapist at
Massage Envy in 2016, where she still practices today. In the future, she hopes
to work in a Physical Therapy Facility, Hospital, or Rehabilitation Center to continue
to develop her manual exercise skills.
Awarded for her
achievements, she has been featured on 2 News, Who’s Who, EIN Presswire, and
will soon be doing a special with Close Up Radio with Jim Masters.
On a personal note, Ms.
Brownlee is a thrill seeker and loves skydiving, hiking, and amusement parks.
Looking to the future, she hopes to expand her business and create
opportunities for everyone to experience massage practices at an affordable
cost.
She would like to
dedicate this honorable recognition to her parents, who have often told her how
special she is, and are models of generosity, support, and the value of hard
work. She would also like to thank everyone in her community who supported her
dreams.
