Dr. Eric Thomson-Wasiolek is a pioneering leader in biotechnology and computer science whose career in academia and industry spans over four decades. With a focus on integrating machine learning into fields such as molecular biology, drug discovery, and medical imaging, he has become a nationally recognized expert driving technological advancement at the intersection of biotech and computing.

Dr. Thomson-Wasiolek earned his doctorate in computer science from Colorado Technical University in 2018. His academic background also includes an MBA (2011) and a Master of Science in computational molecular biology (2008) from California State University-East Bay. His master's thesis in computational neuroscience, completed at Stanford University, received the Best Thesis Award. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.

Throughout his career, Dr. Thomson-Wasiolek has published extensively, with notable works including The Big Picture, Exploring Improvements in Machine Learning as Applied to Large Genomic Data Sets, and A Computational Platform to Analyze the C. Elegans Nervous System. His research also includes papers on chemoinformatics, bioinformatics, and functional neuroanatomy.
