Dr. June DePonte Sernak has established a distinguished career as a transformational leader dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and organizational excellence across the nonprofit, higher education, and corporate sectors. Through her leadership, she continues to develop innovative strategies that foster inclusive workplaces, strengthen communities, and empower individuals from all backgrounds to succeed.

As Statewide Multicultural Diversity Leadership Officer for the Center for Family Services, Dr. Sernak leads the design and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across New Jersey. She develops organizational strategies, facilitates cultural competency and workforce development training, and integrates equitable practices throughout operations to strengthen employee engagement and improve services for diverse communities. She also serves as Chief Inclusion Officer for Rafforzare, LLC, Distinguished Alumni Council member for Strayer University, and Adjunct Professor at Wilmington University, where she teaches ethics, organizational citizenship, and social responsibility.

Dr. Sernak earned a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University in 2023, a Master of Business Administration in Management from Strayer University in 2006, and a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Montclair University in 1998. Her academic accomplishments have provided the foundation for a career centered on leadership, innovation, and creating meaningful organizational change.

Throughout her career, Dr. Sernak has held influential leadership positions spanning telecommunications, higher education, nonprofit organizations, and executive consulting. As Dean of Lifelong Learning at Rowan College at Burlington County, she led workforce development initiatives, diversity programming, and community engagement efforts that expanded educational opportunities and strengthened community partnerships. Today, she is widely recognized as a thought leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion, helping organizations build cultures where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

Her commitment to advocacy extends well beyond the workplace. Dr. Sernak serves as Board Chair of the Alice Paul Center for Gender Justice, championing women's rights and leadership development. She is also a strong advocate for Native American communities, military service members and their families, and initiatives addressing mental health awareness and cultural understanding. In May 2026, she attended the opening for the women of color of suffrage display during a special tour of the Obama Presidential Center, further recognizing her commitment to advancing equality and civic engagement.

In addition to her professional work, Dr. Sernak is the author of My Mommom’s Market, a collection of treasured family recipes that celebrates heritage, culture, and family traditions. Her contributions have been recognized with the Alumni of the Year 2024 Award from Strayer University.
