Dr. Elizabeth F. te Groen, M.D., B.S., MB.Bch.

Doolittle, MO/ Continental Who’s Who/- Dr. Elizabeth F. te Groen M.D., B.S., MB.Bch. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Communications and Media as a result of her role as Project Director with Newburg Children’s Museum of Natural History.

The Newburg Children’s Museum of Natural History is the only Natural History Museum between Springfield and St Louis, and offers a variety of exhibits and articles of culture. There are eight rooms with exhibits and hands-on activities relevant to their primary goal of expanding the horizons of local children and young adults. The museum features four main domains including earth, water, sky and man.

Before taking her position with the museum, Elizabeth worked as an orthopedic surgeon in South Africa, and then spent 25 years collaborating on esophageal cancer research, financed by NIH in Bethesda, Maryland, which allowed her to travel to many countries such as Iran, Japan, China, Italy, and more. She has 47 published articles under her belt, has written a book on the Anglo-Boer War, and co-authored a paper on Genetic Studies in cancer.

In her current position, Elizabeth oversees projects taking place at the museum, non-profit community work, research and training, medical knowledge, and more. She is a member of the South African Medical Association, Newburg Community Revitalization Project Group, Arts Rolla, Audubon, Senior Companion, Kiwanis, Witwatersrand University and Rhodes University Alumni.

Elizabeth received her MBBch. from Witwatersrand University, and her Bachelor of Science degree from Rhodes University.
