Catering to local residents across a spectrum of medical services, Mercy Medical Center strives to provide quality, affordable health care to the surrounding community through compassionate and collaborative care.

Amassing eight years of hands on experience, Dr. Chu treated a variety of general surgical problems including hernias, gallstones, and hemorrhoids; however she now focuses primarily in oncology with breast cancer patients. Constantly adding to her list of her services as new technologies become available, Dr. Chu provides the most up-to-date surgical treatments personalized to the needs of each patient. 

A Board Certified General Surgeon, Dr. Chu is an esteemed member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons, Merced/Mariposa County Medical Association and Merced Sunrise Rotary. Outside of work, she enjoys playing piano, cooking and traveling.

Dr. Chu graduated from Washington University with both her Medical degree and Doctorate in Immunology. She then completed her General Surgery training at the University of California- San Diego.
