DONALD G. DUCEY - ATTORNEY

Ducey’s
professional title is Attorney at Conklin Benham, P.C., which specializes in
law and legal services. His individual legal expertise lies in the areas of
insurance and workers’ compensation, and he brings 40 years of career
experience to his role.
According to the firm’s website, “Ducey joined Conklin Benham's predecessor law
firm in 1963 and along with two other colleagues, formed the firm now known as
Conklin Benham, P.C. He has specialized
in workers' compensation defense for 40 years.”
“With his many years of experience, Ducey has provided representation for both
self-insured employers and insurance defense,” the firm’s website continued.
“His expertise in the field of workers' compensation defense is well-known and
he has lectured before many groups including the Workers' Compensation Section
of the State Bar of Michigan and the Michigan Self-Insureds' Association. He
has also conducted numerous seminars and workshops for employers and insurance
companies regarding up to date legislation information and decisions as they
affect workers' compensation matters.”
Ducey earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in Ann
Arbor. He then went on to complete his Juris Doctor from the University of
Detroit.
To further his professional development, Ducey is a member of the American Bar
Association, the Michigan Bar Association and the Workers’ Compensation Section
of the Michigan Bar Association. He is also a member of the Michigan Workers’
Compensation Hall of Fame.
In addition to his work in practice, Ducey co-authored the Michigan Section of
Independent Contractor Status: State by State Legal Guide, published by John
Wiley & Sons, Inc., with a Conklin Benham colleague.
When not working, Ducey volunteers his time to Catholic Charities and the
Salvation Army. He dedicates this recognition to his four children and seven
grandchildren, and to his beloved wife.
