Denise A. Lettau, a seasoned attorney with more than a decade of experience in trust and trust administration, serves as the founder and principal of The Law Offices of Denise A. Lettau, PA in Tamarac, Florida. Specializing in life and legacy planning, Ms. Lettau offers her clients guidance on wills, estates, and special needs trusts—providing legal solutions tailored to protect their families and future generations.

Ms. Lettau's legal career began in the late 1980s when she worked as a research assistant at the University of Kiel’s Institute of International Law in Germany. Since then, her experience has spanned private legal practice, trust management, and leadership in strategic initiatives. Her previous roles include Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at National Care Advisors, Vice President of Advancement at Secured Futures, and Senior Trust and Fiduciary Specialist at Wells Fargo Private Bank. Throughout her career, she has also served as a legal liaison, counsel, and educator, both in the U.S. and abroad.

In preparation for her career, Ms. Lettau earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Pacific Lutheran University in 1982 and her Juris Doctor from Seattle University in 1987. She has since been admitted to practice by the Florida Bar and D.C. Bar associations. She is a member of the American Bar Association  staying current with legal trends and developments in estate law.

In addition to her practice, Ms. Lettau is a certified personal family lawyer, further deepening her commitment to providing holistic legal support that emphasizes family, continuity, and personal care.

Ms. Lettau’s early contributions to legal scholarship include her time as an assistant editor for professional journals in Kiel from 1988 to 1992, and her writing for Habitat in 1991. These experiences reflect her dedication to legal thought leadership and communication.

Looking ahead, Ms. Lettau remains committed to expanding her estate planning practice, deepening client relationships, and helping individuals and families navigate life transitions with confidence, clarity, and compassion.
