Craig Duncan has built an international consulting career defined by strategic vision, problem solving, and a deep understanding of complex global markets. With extensive experience advising mining companies and multinational organizations, he is widely recognized for identifying opportunity, executing turnarounds, and delivering results in challenging environments, particularly throughout Latin America.
Mr. Duncan’s professional expertise is grounded in hands on field experience and a practical approach to leadership. He is known for recognizing potential where others may see obstacles and for building solutions that are both commercially viable and culturally informed. His work has included major initiatives such as the successful development of a Coca Cola franchise and turnaround leadership efforts with CMPC in Chile, among other high impact engagements.
His consulting practice extends internationally, with a focus on helping organizations navigate economic, operational, and political complexity. Mr. Duncan believes that time spent directly in the field is essential to understanding markets and building sustainable business strategies, a philosophy that continues to guide his work today.
Mr. Duncan completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School from 1995 to 1996. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from Columbia University in 1972 and completed his secondary education at The Hotchkiss School in 1966. His academic background has contributed to his strong grasp of historical context and its influence on modern business and international relations.
He has held numerous leadership and advisory roles, including serving as a board member of the Americas Society, president of the Peruvian Association, and board member of the Peruvian Business Council and the Bolivian Business Council. Additional affiliations include board service with ARFEL of the Santo Domingo Group and B E I in New York, as well as membership in Propesa Accion, an organization active in micro lending initiatives throughout Latin America. He is also a frequent speaker at seminars and forums focused on private equity in the Latin American market.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Duncan is committed to pro bono work and remains willing to travel or relocate globally in support of meaningful initiatives. His personal interests include skiing, climbing, tennis, and reading Latin American and American history. He is also an art collector with a focus on contemporary Latin American works and Hudson River School pieces.
Mr. Duncan is married and has one child. Looking ahead, he remains focused on strengthening international business relationships and supporting economic growth through informed leadership, cultural understanding, and practical execution.
