New Orleans, LA - Bonnie Boyd, CEO, CMP, is being recognized
by Continental Who’s Who as a Lifetime Achiever for her work in the Destination
Management and Hospitality industry and in acknowledgment of her work at BBC
Destination Management.
Ms. Bonnie Boyd founded BBC Destination Management on April
Fools’ Day in 1992, in order to share her love for New Orlean’s “embarrassment
of riches” with the ever-increasing global tourism industry. Ms. Boyd and her
staff love helping clients plan events of all types and sizes. She loves the
history, culture, cuisine, and music of New Orleans, and strives to share that
with every client.
BBC Destination Management focuses on the details - “from gumbo to pralines” -
including the design, decor, and more. They handle aspects like ground
transportation, parades, permits, decor, creative elements, entertainment,
custom tours, staffing, team building, dine arounds, and more. With her
intimate knowledge of the area as a 6th generation New Orleanian, Ms. Boyd ensures
that her clients can relax and enjoy their carefully curated events. She says,

Ms. Boyd attended the American University in Washington, D.C., where she earned
a Master’s degree in Anthropology in 1977. She is a professional member of the
SITE, FICP, and MPI. She has now been working in the industry for over 40
years.
She is CMP and DCMP certified. In the future, Ms. Boyd hopes to rebuild the
hospitality industry in New Orleans, increase her marketing, and network with
other professionals in her field. She attributes her success to her positive
attitude, love of learning, and reputation as an independent entrepreneur.
In her spare time, Ms. Boyd enjoys taking care of an 1880s Greek revival house
in New Orleans, and collecting historic New Orleans memorabilia. She also
donates to and volunteers with a number of charitable organizations.
