Maryann J. Colenda, MD, has established a distinguished career in medicine, specializing in pediatrics, allergy, and immunology. Through her clinical practice, she provides comprehensive care for patients, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of allergic and immunologic conditions while supporting the overall health and well-being of children and families.

She graduated Cum Laude from Temple University where she also received the Rein H. Albaghi Award. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College in 1971 receiving the Cor et Manus Award of Distinction; she completed her Pediatric training at New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center from 1971 to 1974. This was followed by a Fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Pediatric Pulmonology at the latter institution from 1975-1977.

Her current Academic Appointment at Columbia Presbyterian is Associate Professor in Clinical Pediatrics Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons from July 1977 to present; she plays an active role in mentoring and educating future medical professionals while advancing standards in pediatric and immunologic care.

 Her additional Hospital Affiliations include Englewood Hospital, Englewood, NJ, Hudson Regional Hospital, Secaucus, NJ, and CarePoint Regional Health, Hoboken, NJ.
