MARNIE FORESTIERI - FOUNDER & CEO

Oviedo, FL — Marnie Forestieri is being recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Top Entrepreneur for her exemplary contributions in early childhood education and outstanding leadership as the Founder of Young Innovators Academy.

Dedicated to the education and childcare industry, Mrs. Marnie Forestieri is an early childhood entrepreneur, visionary, and writer, having led an impressive career for more than 25 years. She has garnered a commendable reputation for her continuous efforts in improving the quality of early learning through creative innovation.

In her current capacity, she has been successfully operating the Young Innovators Academy and Young Innovators Technologies since 2019, where she works closely with a team of software developers, marketing experts, early childhood professionals, visionaries, and teachers to create change in the early childcare industry and education.

Young Innovators Academy offers the next generation of education entrepreneurs a franchise opportunity to own a business that makes a real, lasting difference in the lives of their students, their parents, and in turn, their communities at large. Unlike traditional preschools and kindergartens, which have used the same educational approach for the last 50 years, Young Innovators Academy thinks outside the box with child-led based learning curriculum that is based on significant research into how children learn and develop. By allowing children to follow their interests, imaginations, and natural curiosity, Young Innovators Academy can teach young learners how to problem solve, how to become innovative thinkers, and how to treat people and the environment with compassion, empathy, and dignity.

Through her companies, Mrs. Forestieri is committed to creating career paths for early childhood professionals, provide technology solutions to operate schools efficiently, and design learning experiences for children that set the foundation of lifelong learning.

Among her academic achievements, Mrs. Forestieri attended Huron University in Japan and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1995. In 2000, she started an MBA program at Tampa University and graduated from Stanford University's Latino Entrepreneurs Leaders Program.

Early in her career, Mrs. Forestieri began at CNN International as an independent documentary producer and journalist and then worked at CNN en Español from 1994 to 2000. Later she served as a vice president of marketing for Centennial Communications between 2003 and 2005, then established Business Centers Inc., a contractor for Verizon, and remained president until 2008. Mrs. Forestieri entered the early childhood industry as a franchisee in 2008 and operated her first center as a director until 2014. During this time, Mrs. Forestieri obtained her certifications to become an educator and center director.

A lead curriculum writer, Mrs. Forestieri, is the author of numerous educational resources. Her books include The Basics of Leading Childcare Organizations (2021), The Basics of Starting a Childcare Center (2020) M, and Grow in STEAM. She is also the co-author of Simple Steam and Stem Play: Integrating Inquiry Into Learning Centers. Among her many accolades, she is the author of an award-winning Spanish-language novel EL Yakusa de mi Corazon, which was released in 2010. Mrs. Forestieri was also nominated for an Emmy Award for her work on the documentary "Conspiracy in the Caribbean."

In her spare time, Mrs. Forestieri enjoys spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, reading, writing, traveling, and researching. She is married to her husband, Abel Gomez, Fine arts photographer and creative director for the Young Innovators Academy brands, and has two children. Valerie Trapp attends Stanford University and intends to graduate in 2023, and Oliver Von Trapp currently leads the technology division, Hopscotch Software Solutions, and Hopscotch CRM).
