Dr. Peter Magyar is recognized by
Continental Who’s Who among Educators. Dr. Magyar is a Professor and Department Head of Kansas State University’s Department of Architecture.
Dr. Magyar is a registered chief-architect in Hungary and in Europe. He arrived at Kansas State from Florida Atlantic University in Fort Lauderdale where he was the founding director of the School of Architecture. Previously he was head of the Department of Architecture at Pennsylvania State University. He has also held faculty positions at the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary; Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria; Auburn University (as the Burlington Distinguished Professor); the University of Cincinnati; and the University of Monterrey, Mexico.
In addition, he is president of his consulting firm, Spaceprint, Inc., and designer of many built and unbuilt projects.
In recognition of his expertise in the field of Architecture, Dr. Magyar has been the winner of several competitions (one of which is under construction in Budapest, Hungary). He is a member of the Chamber and Association of Hungarian Architects, and the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects)
His professional accomplishments include the "Teacher of the Year" award from the College of Architecture, Urban, and Public Affairs in 1999 as well as the publishing of his latest book, Thought Palaces, by "Architectura and Natura," Amsterdam, in the same year.
Dr. Magyar holds a Doctor of Architecture and Master of Architecture and Urban Design, with distinction, from the University of Budapest, Hungary.
